In 1990 both Tonga and Niuafoou islands issued sets for UNDP - United Nations Development Plan - each stamp contained small pictures which showed different ways the UN helped the islanders. But first of all, the printers, Walsall Security Printers of London UK, did separate full colour proofs in larger sizes to the issued stamps of the pictures in each stamp. The two items here for sale are (1) the larger sized colour proof on thin card of one of the smaller pictures shown on the issued stamp and (2) the issued stamp overprinted specimen on which the same small picture is shown. The larger sized proof item is a scarce item from the Tonga printers archive material.
