Item description:
ENTIRE: Entire to Edinburgh, 6 December 1843  Great Britain. A complete entire to Edinburgh, 6 December 1843, enclosing a “Thank You” note for the offer of a reference, bearing a Fine 4 margined 1d Red-Brown on very blue paper, tied by fine Maltese Cross. B/S by an 80% visible Annan rectangular date stamp and a 100% visible Edinburgh coded single rim circular receiving mark in red. Condition: Whilst the contents of the letter are complete, 30% of the page has been neatly removed. Breaking the seal has resulted in an approx  1.5 x 1.5cm irregular rectangular piece missing at point of seal and a 2 x 1cm piece missing from one fold.
