Hi there. Would you dare to guess which of the following shade descriptions best fits this stamp? Cobalt-blue, milky blue, dark blue, blue, grey-blue or indigo. These are SG numbers 43 to 48 inclusive. SG CVs vary from £5 to £70! Best wishes, Brian

well brian I have nothing to compare it to.
My guess is dark blue. The colour shown, (on my screen) matches the stamp closely.
all the best,
Dave
Thanks Dave, That's what I thought, but the 1862 fooled me. The issues and shades were as follows -
SG43 cobalt-blue (1855) CV used £70; SG44 milky-blue (1855) £55; SG45 dark blue (1859) £22; SG46 blue (1860) £17, SG47 grey-blue £6.50 and Sg 48 indigo (1862) £5.
Hope this info of use to you. Best wishes, Brian
