The island of St. Vincent has much to explore, including many picture postcards. Early picture postcards from 1900 to 1940 are extremely difficult to find!

Before there was glossy magazines and television, people learned about other cultures and foreign lands by means of picture postcards. The big postcard collecting craze was in the early 1900´s, from approx. 1908 to World War I and again in the 1920´s to 1930´s; this era produced many cards, most of which were collected unmailed (however, to us postal historians, a mailed card is much more valuable).

This self-running electronic book (eBook CD-ROM) contains 177+ images of interesting and rare picture postcards from St. Vincent and makes a wonderful reference work!

Over half the cards illustrated on this eBook are from 1900 to 1940´s; the rest are modern 1950 to current).

A nice glimpse at this wonderful and still unspoiled island in the Caribbean (I was there in 1993, and if you want to get away from the tourist hordes in the Caribbean, this is the place!).
