I purchased a couple of items out right from an individual in China...on FEB 1st...even after telling him I was done and requesting invoice about 6 times now in various methods. (direct email, through the item page, AND through WHO the person is on this site) I have YET to have him even acknowledge my emails or purchases. This leaves me not feeling very trustworthy to even send this person money. As a buyer I feel I should at least be responded to before I send some stranger money. So what do I do? He has 100% feedback, I could pay immediately through Paypal but now I don't trust anything about this person. And I'm kinda annoyed that I wasted my time picking out anything from this persons shop when there's a lot of good people out there that DO appreciate business.

Please advise, :help:

hi chris,
china is a ying/yang area. i have had good and bad experiences with buyers and sellers there. the first few buyers did not pay, then i finally got one good honest one who did and repeated his business with me. and i had very good luck with the taiwan chinese. i have had bad luck with the middle east and good luck, so you just never know. i have given up trying to judge the world by countries. it is only the individual you can make an opinion on. if you don't receive any communication from this individual, that isn't your fault. just report it to pascal, and let him handle it. you have done your best to resolve the situation. don't send any payment until this person has earned your trust. and don't worry about the negative feedback. you have the dispute resolution process you can utilize. perhaps his computer is down or there is a problem with the internet there, who knows in china. this is the storm season there too. take care and don't get so frustrated. ;)
later gator,
cajunsr.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your input...I've been auctioning online for 7 years as a buyer and a seller and this whole thing seems a bit red flagged to me. According to Delcampe this person logs in almost daily and I know as a seller myself, I would certainly have addressed this long long ago. That's just part of good business and I appreciate all my buyers hence I have many repeat ones. Just got in from the hospital seems I was likely re-exposed to the Chicken Pox virus and now have shingles. (I work in an Elementary school) Very painful so this has now become the least of my worries.

Hope you are both well. The declared Pennsylvania a state of disaster yesterday but fortunately no snow yet today...but another is on it's way.

Hello Chris,

I agree with your ideas of trading - but I as well had to learn, that different people have different ideas. I simply resumed, that as long as I don't loose anything (a little work excluded), I will just forget about... What you found in there you will find again if you just have a little patience. By the way, did you find the "rocks" already?
And - keep your hands on the keyboard (I know, how it's like...) ;)
Best regards

Yessur I was put on a VERY expensive Anti viral...$253.00 before my insurance and because of having to meet my deductible on my scripts 173.00. I got a script for Vicodin...thank goodness. I don't have to work for until Tuesday so hopefully this nips it in the butt. At least the headache I had yesterday is gone and we know what this thing that looks like a burn is. It was a painful evening last night.

Thanks for the postive energy!

Alf where you from, my hubby's family came from Röhrda, Hessen Kassel a LONG time ago. I do genealogy and researched the church records in that area. ...he was stationed over there too after he was in Saudi for Kuwait...Wurtzburg? Giebelstadt? (not sure of the spellings of those two)

Crabs with Sauerkraut?! Strange combination... ;)
Beside, forget about the idea, that we're eating that stuff every day - I guess that majority of people in here HATE Sauerkraut and will not touch it at all. Historically seen, it's just a kind of winter's veggie, because there has not been any other kind to get any vitamins in winter. It's working well with fat meat - but most people nowadays refuse fat meat as well. Spare ribs in here are seen as US food... :D

hey cousin alf,
we coons is omnivores and will eat anything. :D actually, i like my sauerkraut with extra cabbage and with country ribs, not spare ribs. more meat, less fat. and very tasty. my wife puts in the pressure cooker to reduce the cooking time and voila, dinner is served. of course, we do add taters and sometimes carrots. i want to find these brazilian carrots, they are yellow in color and so delicious. like japanese eggplant, very sweet. or the okinawan yam, also very sweet and purple. one must broaden his culinary horizons in his old age. especially when he lives in a multicultural town like tampa. it makes for excellent 'dumpster diving'.

That is a VERY realistic curio cabinet. Are all these miniatures to scale with each other?

MY maiden name is Miller and they were from... Grotzingen, Wurttemberg, Germany...I never really looked that up they came over here somewhere around 1709, LOL. They were what is considered Pennsylvania Dutch here but it is actually suppose to be Pennsylvania Duetch.

I'm a real mutt though...English, Scotch Irish and Austrian on the mom's side...German, French and Abenaki (Native American on my dad's). I have some of Cajun's relatives on my French/Abenaki side...hence we are cousins in that way.

Mitakuye Oyasin! (Fish isn't going to work on that..."We are all related!")

YUCK on Sauerkraut! :smash: I never did eat it for my folks...so we don't make it in my house. My hubby says weiner shnitzel is really good. I'd have to live in German Beer  and pastries...oh I do like Haribou gummy bears. (LOL...well they ARE German) My Austrian grandma made a thing called Liver Dumpling soup...I ate it for her back then...I remember it having a weird smell. I don't think I'd touch it with a ten foot pole now that I'm old enough to tell say NO. I do like cajun spices the hotter the better...as long as whatever it is is not greasy.

I feel much better today than yesterday. :applause: I think that medicine is working. :applause: My hand looks MUCH better. :applause:

Hello Chris,

most of them are. To be able to guess the size, I always added the coin to the items - otherwise it would be impossible to get any idea. So, if you don't like to eat cajun style, you as well may have fork and knife in correct scale... ;) Or some wine? Red or white one...? :whitewine: :redwine:

The name will originally be Müller, and in that area it will have been a water mill, I guess. Beside, nowadays it's a part of Karlsruhe - and it's close to Sauerkraut area... :o

Hello crab eater,

you're eating everything - I'm just eating what I like, that seems to be what's making the difference... ;)
You may try your Sauerkraut fried, some more work to do, but less sour. It will work with most kinds of fried meat / pork.
Try to get some seeds of original veggies and grow them up by yourself - you will find the taste you're searching. The main problem with our "industrial" food is, that it's looking perfect - and tasting all the same, whatever you will try, tomato, banana, apple, carrot... :smash:

My hubby's last name...Matha was Methe over there...then there were his grandparents the Eichenburgs...that is something about Oak trees right? Relatives Blum, Wenk, Ledebur, Byer & Klinstivers all left that Hessen Kassel area about the same time 1848. I think it was a farming area. They made huge farms here on top of the Allegeheny mountains.

I still think your cookie cart is one of the best miniatures. Incredible.

Well, it's not THAT bad - if you know how to use it. As well your "Leberknödelsuppe" has not to be THAT bad.
The Wiener Schnitzel you'll find all over the world, I guess - but 90% made from pork, so it will not be Wiener Schnitzel, just called like that. Last Haribo I had in the morning - want some? ;)

TOMATOES...home grown tomatoes are the best! Except when you live in the arctic tundra type place like me...growing season is short. We start a lot of stuff indoors. My town is a very influenced by Italians so there are many Italian places to eat...so even though I am not Italian I do like their food.

Maple Syrup! Now that is one of my favorite ethnic foods from my family! Maple Syrup over fry bread. OR better yet Maple Sugar candy...oh that IS DIVINE and if it wasn't so expensive I would be a diabetic. Unfortunately my kids don't like the candy much....all the more for me! Lately it turned a little better with tomatoes in here - after they really turned to plastic taste. Better are the small ones, like e.g. cherry tomatoes.
Of course you can get Maple Syrup in here, if you like - but most people don't like.

Sauerkraut area! :o yuck. Well, I won't eat sauerkraut. Red wine yes... :redwine: . That's funny.

Incredible.

Christine

Eichenburg would be oakscastle. The majority of people at that time were farmers. As in Ireland later on, the land did not feed the people - and additionally there were a lot wars in Europe. 1709 may have still been of 1618 - 1648 wars all over Europe. Land has been given to the oldest son in most parts, all others had to find any other way to get food - and even in the regions where land was shared, after some generations fields were to small to feed a family.

:smash:

hey cousin alf,
i agree, nothin' like home grown veggies. when i am in louisiana, my cousin has some good tomatos, corn, sweet potatos, cucumbers, squash, and whatever else they can put into the garden. the soil there is perfect for all of it. and the flavor is so good. my mother would got there every summer after my dad died to visit for the whole 3 or 4 months. she would bring home 'canned' veggies in the jars. and we would eat real good throughout the winter. my grandpa was a zimmerle. don't know where that part of the family originated from in germany. but we definitely got the squareheaded blue eyed blonde heads in this family. my brother and sister got the cajun brown eyes and brown hair from dad. i'm the oldest. guess if i get some time this summer i'll grow me a few veggies. the damn price of tomatos is too high anyway, almost $3.00/lb., and they don't taste worth a hoot. think i'll bring me a trunk full of louisiana clay when i visit there next time.
;) later gators,
cajunsr.

Well, crab eater...

your source will be in very south-western part of Germany, seen from the -le ending of the name, may be black forest area as well.

If there would be free trade in there, I'd suggest mexican tomatoes to you, but... If there is no other choice, you may try out canned ones, at least to cook they are better than the fresh plastic ones.

hey cousin alf,
took my wife out to a mexican restaurant last night for her birthday dinner. and had some fresh salsa with tomatos from mexico probably. but it sure was good. and the other dishes too. actually, much of the winter produce comes from florida where i live, grown in hot houses. then in the spring, the local farms will start all the summer veggies. much of the fruit is imported from chile right now. or other south american farms.
later gator,
cajunsr.
