Does anyone recognize what city this image is from?
The back of the card simply says "Post Card" and "(For Address Only)" on right side (it's a divided back).

I thought it looked like it might be from India, and I thought to search on "india" and "palace". Check google and I think you'll find images of the Maharaja's palace in Udaipur, India. I think that's it.
I always wanted to create a website for questions like this. Maybe some day.

Thanks, Chris.
I got a private response a while ago and got it figured out; I believe you're correct about it being Udaipur. (it's been a while and the card is listed now in my auctions under Udaipur, Rajastan India.)

Alan

bonsoir alan,
i think chris hit the nail on the head:
seems i have seen this place in a movie before, james bond or the disney 'jungle book'. not sure which one. it is beautiful. we have a hindu temple here in tampa with the same architecture. it is quite a sight considering it isn't india.
