Hi everybody,

I found this postcard from Down Under, that I would like to put a date on.
The Snowy Mountains Scheme was under construction between 1949 and 1974: that's a bit vague! :(
Link (http) , Link (http) , and some tunnelling video clips for download here: Link (http) :veryhappy:

Could anybody make a better guess with the postage rates? :help:

Thanks!

hope they help you. i can tell you this much, it was printed after 1966 when australia started using decimal currency. also look at the rate table on the back of the card for clues. the 5 cent rate started in 1968, if a card was to go to the u.s. at 2 x the rate of 5 cents, then 10 cents would be the rate and good until 1970 when i see the rates go to 6 cents locally.

amities,
cajunsr.

Merci cousin!

Though I couldn't find the rate increase to 5 cents in 1968 (the Wikipedia link you provide says 1975), the great news is the decimal system from 1966: that just cuts the problem by 2/3! Fairly good for me!

Bon Dimanche!
