- Geschiedenis van de drie bataljons van het territoriale 5th London Regiment, beter bekend als de London Rifle Brigade, namelijk het 1/5th, 2/5th en 3/5th.

Het 1/5th Bataljon verbleef tijdens de eerste oorlogswinter in Ploegsteertbos en tijdens de Tweede Slag bij Ieper schreef het geschiedenis in dienst van de 4^de Divisie tijdens de Slag bij Sint-Juliaan en de Slag bij Frezenberg. In 1917 keerde het bataljon terug naar Vlaanderen, maar dan bij de 56^ste Divisie met onder meer deelname aan de Slag bij Langemark en de Slag bij de Meenseweg.

Het 2/5th Bataljon diende bij de 58^ste Divisie en nam eveneens deel aan de Derde Slag bij Ieper met onder meer de Slag bij de Meenseweg, de Slag bij het Polygoonbos en de 2^de Slag bij Passendale.

Het 3/5th Bataljon bleef de hele oorlog in het Verenigd Koninkrijk.
